Dear Class,

Due to the large class last wednesday, I didn't get to go through this with you guys. Please memorize all your italian terms, clefs (Modern vocal, Vocal with C clef, String Quartet) and be able to spell everything correctly. Remember spelling counts! If you have any last minute question, drop a line here or e-mail me.

Before you submitt your exam paper on saturday, please DOUBLE CHECK! Or should I put it this way, REDO everything again to make sure you get everything correct.

Pay attention to the music fragment when you identify the key, they may have a trick question here and there. Pay attention to the seventh note, but remember if the melody is a descending melody, the seventh note of a minor key may notbe raised due to melodic minor. For musical analysis, the best way is to circle all the seventh note to see how many of them are raised, if less than half are raised, but more than half are not raised, then it is most likely in the major key. Another way is to look at the last note of the piece to check whether it's the tonic.

IM SO GLAD THAT THE EXAM IS FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had alot of time after the exam to double check my anwsers,i was so glad that i finished on time. I just hope i did well on the test.Karen, you are one of the best teachers ive ever had.........i couldnt have finished the exam without you. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
